EV Tuesday Week 94

EV Tuesday Week 94

It's EV Tuesday!

5th September 2023
Yes it's EV Tuesday time......September already! We hope you are enjoying your weekly newsletter drop of everything EV related.

This week we have a fantastic line up for you to enjoy. We will be dropping another 5 useful tools and tips as well for you to have a look at.

Now is the time to stop what you are doing, turn down the TV, grab a drink and take a bit of time out to have a read through the newsletter.

Did You Know?
Reduced Transportation Emissions: In a traditional
retail model, EV cables are manufactured in bulk, shipped to various stores, and eventually to customers, often involving long-haul transportation from China. However, with a made-to-order model, the product is shipped directly from the production facility in the UK to the customer, reducing the overall transportation emissions.

We will be posting this to our social media channels including FacebookTwitter & Reddit (check out r/evcables subreddit). If you have access to our blog, you will get an extra item :)

Right, ready.....steady.........GO!!

Feedback, Requests, Questions?
As always, please give us feedback on Twitter. Which item is your favourite? What do you want more or less of? Other suggestions?  Just send a tweet to @ev_cables and put #EVTuesdays at the end so we can find it.

Have a great week everyone and happy reading!

1. EV APP OF THE WEEK: CAURA

Caura is the ultimate app for streamlining and managing everything related to your electric vehicle. You can organise and pay for car MOTs, tolls, and insurance all within the app’s user-friendly dashboard. Whilst EV owners are exempt from many common charges such as road tax and city congestion charges, Caura puts all your remaining admin in one place.

2. EV NEWS: DRIVE ELECTRIC

Building upon its partnership with EDF, which started in 2019, DriveElectric now offers one of the widest selections of EV salary sacrifice deals to the energy supplier’s customers, with something for everyone, from compact city cars to large SUVs.

3. EV TIP: REGENERATIVE BRAKING

Regenerative braking is an electric-only motoring feature that allows your car to recharge as it brakes. When you begin to slow down in your EV, the electric motor will capture energy to put back into the battery that can be used to power your car.

Most EVs will have different modes that allow you to decide what level of regenerative braking you’d like to use, including the highly efficient ‘one-pedal driving’ that allows you to come to a stop in your EV without even touching the brakes. This allows for the most amount of regenerative braking.

4. EV EVENT: WORLD EV DAY

Now in its fourth year, World EV Day™ unites companies and individuals, policy makers and thought leaders, for a day of activations and announcements that continue to propel the emobility movement across the globe.
This year, we will again be asking businesses, policymakers and individuals across the world how they will #DriveChange to continue supporting the shift to a decarbonised society.

5. EV REVIEW: CAR WOW
