It's EV Tuesday!

15th August 2023
Good Afternoon EV Community. Happy EV Tuesday.

What did you think of the great links last week? Do you like our 'Did You Know?' facts?

This week we have some fantastic electric vehicle goodies for you to browse through. There is a bit of news, a podcast, an app, a handy tip and a useful blog to read.

Now is the time to stop what you are doing for a few minutes, click on the links and see what we have in store this week.

Did You Know?
We are a made-to-order company with on-site facilities. The made-to-order approach can significantly decrease the carbon footprint of EV charging cables production in several ways.

We will be posting this to our social media channels including Facebook, Twitter & Reddit (check out r/evcables subreddit). If you have access to our blog, you will get an extra item :)

Right, ready.....steady.........GO!!

Feedback, Requests, Questions?
As always, please give us feedback on Twitter. Which item is your favourite? What do you want more or less of? Other suggestions?  Just send a tweet to @ev_cables and put #EVTuesdays at the end so we can find it.

Have a great week everyone and happy reading!

1. EV APP OF THE WEEK: WATTSUP

WattsUp is the app that you’ve been waiting for and a revolution in how rapid charging options are presented to electric vehicle (EV) drivers. Enjoy the ability to easily view a chosen route knowing that the information is comprehensive, up to date and includes all major network operators

2. EV NEWS: GB NEWS

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has confirmed that the ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel vehicles will go ahead at the end of the decade, despite many calling for the Government to roll back the plan. Some drivers are now looking at investing in electric vehicles in a bid to cut their carbon footprint, although one leading expert has issued a stern warning.

3. EV TIP: RUNNING OUT OF JUICE

If you do run out of juice, don’t panic: breakdown services have vans with on-board chargers, allowing you to gain enough juice to make it to a proper charging point.

Make sure you are a member of the AA, RAC or Green Flag. Having said that, there’s a good chance you’ll never need them, if you follow the above advice, as very few EV owners run out of juice in the real world – it seems to happen to tabloid journalists more often than not.
