1. EV APP OF THE WEEK: BONNET

Find, charge & pay for all your EV charging in one app with Bonnet. We connect more than 85,000 electric vehicle chargers across 20+ of the most popular EV charging networks in Europe, to give EV drivers the best electric vehicle charging experience possible.

2. EV NEWS: TECH ROUND

Are Mobile Signal Gaps Slowing The UK’s EV Progress? Electric Vehicles in the UK are becoming more and more adopted among drivers. Nonetheless, findings from the RAC Foundation reveal an important but commonly ignored factor, and that is: stable signal and mobile connections are needed at charging points.

3. EV TIP: BREAKDOWNS

If you need assistance because you've run out of charge, it won't normally be possible to get your EV moving again, so don't put yourself at risk by trying to get a friend to tow it - leave it to the professionals. Even if you're not a member, major breakdown services including the AA, RAC and Green Flag will come to rescue you.

Before help arrives, check your EV handbook for any restrictions on towing, which may damage the car's systems. While some EVs can be towed, as long as their drive wheels are kept off the ground, others can only be moved on a flat-bed truck. If you're not sure, insist on a flat-bed - it avoids the risk of major damage to your car.

4. EV DATA: BOOK MY GARAGE

How Many Electric Cars are There in the UK? (2024) More and more UK drivers are turning to electric cars. The latest data shows that electric vehicles have double the market share of diesel cars. As more manufacturers release electric cars and we draw closer to the 2035 ban on new petrol and diesel sales, that figure is only going to rise. Learn more about the latest electric car statistics and trends in this article.

5. EV REVIEW: ELECTRIFYING

Mini Cooper Electric 2024
MINI Electric 2024 prototype Review. The electric version of the current MINI has been a huge success. The new version is set to bring more refinement and extra range - but we have to wait until next year to get it in the UK.
With such strong sales of the electric version, BMW could make the next MINI a pure-electric car just like Fiat has done with the 500e. However, the 2024 MINI will be available in petrol and pure-electric forms just like the current car, but that’s as far as the similarities go.

6. EV PODCAST: EV QUEST

Until next time. Have a fantastic week!
