2. EV NEWS: ELECTREK

The British military just bought these off-grid solar EV chargers. The British military has placed a $1 million order for San Diego-based Beam Global’s (Nasdaq: BEEM) off-grid solar EV chargers. The UK Ministry of Defence ordered 10 of Beam Global’s EV ARC sustainable charging systems and one ARC Mobility trailer, which it will deploy at British Sovereign Base Areas in Cyprus. It’s the first big order for Beam Global’s Europe factory, but it’s already sold “hundreds” of US-manufactured off-grid solar EV chargers to the US military.

3. EV TIP: WATCH YOUR SPEED

Watch your speed in built up areas! The unexpectedly rapid acceleration and the silence can leave you 'way above the limit before you notice.

4. EV VIDEO: EVERYTHING ELECTRIC

Jack takes a ride on Brompton bicycle fitted with an e-bike conversion kit from UK-based Boost. Does this ultra-stealthy kit turn a folding bike into the world's most versatile vehicle?

5. EV REVIEW: ELECTRIFYING

Ford Explorer
Ford’s new crossover has plenty of appeal for the family motorist looking to move to electric. It’s a practical size, has decent tech and competitive range and charging stats. While rivals have been quickly building their electric car ranges, Ford has been a little slow out of the blocks. The Mach E is an impressive but expensive car which has been hobbled in the UK by supply issues and eye-watering price rises. The new Explorer will change that. It will be built in Europe and is aimed right at the most popular type of car in the UK – the medium sized SUV. At 4.4 metres long, it’s almost exactly the same length as the best-selling Nissan Qashqai.
